I really enjoyed BarCamp in Cork. Waterford is going to be next on 20th January details on the the barcamp.org wiki and the blog. The venue is on the Cork side of Waterford city on a several hundred acre site reputedly sold to the WIT by a local businessman who needed to settle a bill a few years ago. Nice mature grounds but a little hard to find as it's on a back road and not the main WIT campus - have a look at the map before you leave. A heritage narrow gauge railway that follows over 6km of the route of the abandoned Waterford-Dungarvan line passes by the site overlooking the the river Suir. A It's newly built and I was based there until September. I'd imagine it's going to be a good day and I hope you can make it.
