Three stories you thought you'd never see this week

They say things happen in threes - this week has been particularly noteworthy:

1. It's official -- Apple is worth more than IBM! [(AAPL) ,(IBM) ]
2. Amazon (AMZN) is after "topping out its 1999 .com boom price of 100 $USD and change. This is from a low of 5.97 $USD in 2001".
3. Microsoft (MSFT) is after spending $240 million on a 1.6% stake in Facebook.(via Download Squad)

And it's only Thursday morning. Whatever next? Maybe it's not a good time to put money in a technology-based pension fund. Oh dear :(
